Every year a team of volunteer engineers sets up an incredible toy train display at the Sheldon Museum in Middlebury just in time for the holidays. This year’s display opens Thanksgiving weekend and runs through January 4. The trains are running Wednesdays through Saturdays, as well as during Midd Night Strolls on the evenings of Dec. 5 and 12.
Here’s a description from the museum:
The Henry Sheldon Museum’s model train layout stands 3 levels high, with two tracks running Lionel O gauge trains and the upper track running HO trains. In recognition of the 30th anniversary of the train layout, this year will feature a special display tracing the history of the Sheldon’s trains.
