Meet the Artist at the Ilsley Public Library – New York Crimean Tatar Ensemble

Join members of the New York Crimean Tatar Ensemble for an hour of exciting music and engaging conversation. The only band playing authentic, traditional Crimean Tatar music in the United States, The New York Crimean Tatar Ensemble has roots in both Simferopol, Crimea and Brooklyn. The Ensemble performs captivating music from Ukrainian folk traditions that features a mix of Eastern and Western musical modes and energized dance rhythms. Presented as part of United for Ukraine at Middlebury College. Jeffrey Buettner, Christian A. Johnson Professor of Music will host conversation with the musicians.
