Preserving the Past with Allison LaCroix
Sheldon Museum
As the oldest community-based museum in the nation, the Henry Sheldon Museum is tasked with preserving an important part of Vermont’s past. The responsibility of managing these collections falls to Allison, A Middlebury alum and 8th generation Vermonter. Allison will share with us her experiences in preservation and talk about new projects being undertaken at the Sheldon Museum. Doors open at 5:00, the discussion starts at 5:30 and runs until 6:30. Coffee from The Royal Oak, decaf and caffeinated, is provided free of charge along with vegan nut-free snacks from Friday Bakery. Welcome to the Middlebury Science Cafe! Join us to chat about how science intersects with our daily lives in Vermont. Doors will open at 5:00 so there is time to grab a delicious coffee or tea from Royal Oak. The talk starts at 5:30 pm.
