“Strong Ground” Guided Walk at Mount Independence, at the Mount Independence State Historic Site, 497 Mount Independence Road, Orwell, VT, Saturday May 7th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Guided walk on the ground and off the trails to explore the Revolutionary War military strategy and defenses built 240 years ago at Mount Independence. See what is best visible in the spring before the leaves come out. Meet at museum for orientation. Wear boots and dress for the weather. Led by Revolutionary War expert Mike Barbieri, Mount Independence Coalition president Stephen Zeoli, and site administrator Elsa Gilbertson.
