Pets with Potential: MoonPie, Nipsy and Lettuce

CLAREMONT, N.H. (WCAX) – This week’s Pets with Potential are three kitties waiting for their forever homes at the Sullivan County Humane Society in New Hampshire.

MoonPie is a 6-year-old cat who is currently on a weight-loss journey. She was almost 20 lbs. when she arrived at the shelter but has lost 3 lbs. thanks to her specialized diet. Despite her struggles, she’s a motivated kitty who loves to explore. MoonPie will need a family committed to helping her keep that diet. She will do best with older children and would be OK with cat-friendly dogs.

Nipsy is a 4-year-old kitty who may look familiar, we’ve featured him before on Pets with Potential. He’s lived at the shelter the longest of all the current residents. Staffers say he’s come a long way since arriving and blossomed into a confident cat. He loves other cats and is good with older kids and cat-friendly dogs. He’s even made a special bond with the shelter’s second-longest resident, Lettuce.

Lettuce is a 2-year-old cat. Staffers say is a chill boy who can be shy at first but warms up quickly. He loves head-butting and chin scratches. Staffers say he would do best in a less active home with older children and cat-friendly dogs and, of course, his good friend Nipsy.

Contact the Sullivan County Humane Society for more information on these pets or any of the other animals waiting there for their forever homes.
