N.Y. state parks see record attendance

ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – The Empire State says state park attendance hit new heights last year.

In 2024, attendance across the state hit 88.3 million people.

According to Governor Kathy Hochul, over the last two decades, state park attendance has seen a 66% increase.

One big driver of attendance last year was the April solar eclipse, where the state hosted events in the path of totality including in the Adirondacks.
