BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – With bitterly cold weather in the forecast for next week, the city of Burlington plans to activate its cold weather emergency shelter.
The shelter will be open on Monday, Jan. 20, Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Miller Center at 130 Gosse Court in the city’s New North End from 5 p.m. until 8 a.m.
The National Weather Service is forecasting evening temperatures diving below zero with windchill on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and into the early morning hours of Thursday.
