HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) – Two Dartmouth college students arrested in connection with a pro-Palestinian protest on campus have been found guilty of misdemeanor trespassing– that’s according to the school’s student newspaper, The Dartmouth.
Kevin Engel, a sophomore, and Roan Wade, a senior, were arrested in October 2023 after refusing to take down a tent they put up in connection with the weeklong protest. The protesters had been setting up and then removing the tents. But on the night of the arrests, Engel and Wade refused to take the tent down.
They won’t face any jail time but they could be fined up to $1,200.
