PLAINFIELD, N.H. (WCAX) – Pumpkin people have once again invaded Plainfield, New Hampshire, just in time for Halloween.
The town’s population grows every October with the handmade people. Each person, of course, includes a pumpkin for the head. Plainfield residents like Jonathan Newton say the annual event brings the community together and attracts tourists from all over the region.
“It is just something everybody enjoys. You know, walk or drive by and it makes you smile. You know, that is all there is to it — which I guess is the beauty of it. There is an online map that marks where all the creations live.
