PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – Clinton County health officials are reporting another case of West Nile Virus — the 2nd just this year.
The victim is under 50 years old and a resident of Plattsburgh, officials say. They started showing symptoms in late September and are now recovering.
Despite the onset of colder weather, the health department is reminding residents that mosquitos are still out there and to protect themselves.
The previous case of West Nile involved a 50-year-old resident of Chazy.
In addition to West Nile, the North Country has also had one confirmed case of triple-e in a horse.
