Wonderfeet “Truck-or-Treat” draws big crowds

RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – People in Rutland brought in spooky season with a truck-or-treat event Sunday afternoon.

It was the 2nd annual occasion at the Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum.

There were more than 90 vehicles at the event, from cranes and tanks to cars and motorcycles. Kids got to show off their costumes and collect treats while exploring the trucks and playing inside the museum.

“We already felt incredibly lucky that we doubled in size as far as participant sign-up for last year,” said Danielle Monroe, executive director of Wonderfeet. “The best part is not only that. We get to share this event with the community, but the business partners that are part of this event are all also generously supporting Wonderfeet. So, this event is actually raising over $30,000 for the museum that allows us to keep open the doors, to keep up and running, and to be able to keep our admissions really low so that every family in Vermont can come and enjoy wonderfully kids.”

Sunday’s event was free, but kids there got the chance to participate in a coin drop. donations will be matched by the museum’s “Piggy Bank Pals.”
