BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – More than 85% of children diagnosed with cancer survive five years or more now compared to only 58% in the mid 1970s. Still, there is much more to be done.
Cancer is a key focus of the Biden administration. And Ann Graham, the leader of a Vermont-based national organization, Make it Better for Childhood Cancer, will once again be at the White House in a cancer moonshot meeting.
“They have shown us that our voices are being heard and that progress is not only possible but happening. And we’re excited to continue working with the White House and lawmakers to make a real difference in the lives of children battling cancer,” Graham said.
