Bristol 4th of July Celebration

Bristol, Vermont hosts an incredible 2-day celebration of our country’s Independence Day! We all hope that you will come out and join us in the festive celebrations that are put on for the 4th of July. We have a wonderful community that really makes the 4th memorable!

July 3rd Festivities

• The 40th Army Band (VT National Guard) will play. The DJ Jam Man will also provide music.  At 6 pm at the Rec Field, you’ll find Food and Craft Vendors, Games, Raffle Tickets, Live Music, and more.  Then at Dusk, it’s the Fireworks.

July 4th Festivities

• 7 am – It’s the Pam Paradee Memorial Bristol 4th of July Road Race
• 9 am – The Great Bristol Outhouse Race runs in a straight line from the crosswalk in front of St. Ambrose Catholic Church on West Street to the finish line at the traffic light. There are usually 3 or 4 outhouses entered per heat and there are usually four heats.
• 10:30 am – The Bristol 4th of July Parade. The theme this year is Beach Party.
• All day long, visit the Festival on the Green, the centerpiece of the celebration in Bristol. This event takes place on the green in the center of town. There are food and craft vendors that will provide everyone something to enjoy. There are also pony rides for the kids, as well as an inflatable family fun center. All of this is built around the main attraction, music by Mango Jam. For the comfort of those around you, we ask that you please leave your pets at home.
