SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – This week’s Pets with Potential includes animals from the Springfield Humane Society.

Ticktak is a handsome four-year-old kitty who came from Georgia to find a new home. He is FIV positive so he has to be an indoor cat but he can live with other cats and gets along quite well with them. He’s not a fan of dogs, though. Ticktak is on a prescription diet to stay healthy. Shelter staff love his gorgeous green eyes, long flowing fur, and attention-loving personality.

Kaya is a nine-year-old malamute in search of a loving home to spend her golden years in. She loves car rides, walks, and playing in the water. Kaya gets along well with most dogs but should not live in a home with cats. Shelter staff says she’s a very smart dog who already has some tricks up her sleeve.

The Springfield Humane Society also has a number of rodent control technicians looking for work. Their “Barn Buddies” program is a two-for-one special. The eight kitties available might not be the most sociable but they are hard workers who can help keep rodents away. Each cat has been spayed or neutered and is up to date on vaccines and testing. these cats should be adopted in pairs.
