MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Officials say there is a heavy police activity on Cummings St. in Montpelier.
Police say there is no risk to the public – but are asking community members to avoid the area until further notice.
“It’s an operation in progress. I have full confidence in our police department and we are hoping for a safe resolution for all involved,” Montpelier Mayor Jack McCullough said in a statement to WCAX.
