BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – There is growing concern about artificial intelligence and so-called “deep fakes” interfering with elections in the coming months.

The New Hampshire attorney general’s office on Monday said it was investigating reports of an apparent robocall that used artificial intelligence to mimic President Joe Biden’s voice.

Vermont is among a handful of states that are looking at the emerging threats created by artificial intelligence by last year creating a Division of Artificial Intelligence within the State Agency of Digital Services.

Darren Perron spoke with Josiah Raiche, Vermont’s Director of Artificial Intelligence, about what the state is doing to address the situation.
