BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont ski industry has undergone significant change in the past few years — lots of consolidation.

Many of the big players including Killington, Stowe, Mt. Snow, and Okemo have been taken over by large out-of-state companies. One of the independents still standing is Bolton Valley, which is back in the hands of the DesLauriers family. Patriarch Ralph DesLauriers founded the family-friendly ski area 1966 and owned it until financial pressures forced him to sell in 1997. In 2017, 20 years later, the family and a group of investors bought the resort back.

In the latest addition of 802 News Podcast, Mark Johnson spoke with current Bolton Valley president Lindsay DesLauriers about their plans for the future.
