DUMMERSTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have charged a Dummerston man with animal cruelty after they say he killed a dog with a gun.
It happened on November 22. The Vermont State Police responded to a report saying a domesticated dog had been shot and killed. Troopers and Game Wardens investigated and they say John Wehner, 64, shot the dog and provided false information.
He’s due in court later this month to answer to the charges of cruelty to animals and providing a false report.
