WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Six Vermont state troopers have been placed on paid leave while they’re investigated for misconduct during an incident in December, according to the Caledonian Record.
State troopers David Garces, Colin Connery, Elisabeth Plympton, Luke Rodzel, Gabriel Schrauf, and David Wicks were relieved of duty after they were reportedly trying to track a suspect involved in a possible domestic abuse case that started in Vermont but later led Haverhill, N.H.
The internal investigation hinges on the department’s policies on car pursuits and the use of spike strips to deflate tires of unresponsive drivers, according to the newspaper.
