Blue-Bin Recycling Workshop

Join Addison County Solid Waste Management District online for a free, live workshop on Zoom to learn the in’s and out’s of blue-bin recycling.

Real people sort our blue-bin recyclables by hand, so let’s keep it safe and contaminate free! By recycling, you conserve valuable landfill space, contribute to a circular economy that reuses waste streams and reduces our collective reliance on virgin feedstocks. Plus, it’s a simple way to comply with Vermont’s Universal Recycling Law, which banned many blue-bin recyclables from the landfill beginning July 1, 2015.

This free workshop covers the major categories of blue-bin recycling, common contaminates and questions, special recycling, and a framework for deciding if something can be recycled.
