Bowdoin (9-6-1, 5-4-1) scored twice in the third period to pick up a 4-2 win over Middlebury on Friday night in Maine. The Panthers (7-8-0, 5-4-0) return to action on Saturday with a 3:00 faceoff at Colby.

The Polar Bears took a 1-0 lead 10:14 into the first period. Bradley Ingersoll intercepted a Middlebury pass in the top of the defensive zone, later leading to a goal by Cam Berube. A minute later, Middlebury nearly tied the game when Bret Pastor fired a one-timer on a crossing pass from the right post that was denied by Bowdoin netminder Alex Zafonte.
