Parking Bans issued for multiple cities and towns

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – Overnight parking is forbidden on all streets in the town of Brattleboro from November 15 through April 15. Brattleboro has a flashing light system and a signboard program in place to assist citizens in knowing when plowing will be done. A flashing AMBER light designates the need to remove snow from off-street parking lots. A flashing PURPLE light designates the need to remove snow from the streets. The Department of Public Works will place sign boards around town notifying the public of pending snow removals. Snow removal starts at 11 p.m.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Public Works is calling a winter parking ban beginning Sunday February 16th. Crews, fleet technicians and parking enforcement agents will be responding and available throughout the storm. What time does the winter parking ban run? ▪ Most of Burlington: 10PM-7AM ▪ Downtown (Zone F, see map below): 12midnight – 6AM ▪ Franklin Square Zone H (north and east side): 10PM the night following the larger snow ban. TOWN OF ESSEX, Vt. / VILLAGE of ESSEX, Vt. / ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. – No night parking between December 1st & April 1st. : No person shall park or leave unattended a vehicle of any type on any street, town, road, alley, lane, park or public grounds in the Town of Essex and the Village of Essex Junction during the period of December 1st through April 1st of the next year between the hours of midnight and seven a.m.

MONTPELIER, Vt. – Downtown Parking Ban In Effect February 15, 2025 Beginning At 1AM

Parking Ban will be in effect for all metered spaced on Main and State Streets in the City of Montpelier. This will be a tag-and-tow event beginning at 1:00AM for all metered spaces on Main Street and State Street. The regular Alternate Side Winter Parking regulations will be in effect as normal in all other areas of the City.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – A City Parking Ban is in effect as of 12:01am on Sunday, February 16th.

Parking IS NOT permitted on ANY City Street. Parking IS allowed in City managed parking lots labeled P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, and P7. Parking Enforcement is waived in the aforementioned lots during the snow emergency.
