SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Great Vermont Coat Drive, collecting coats for those in need, comes to a close on Friday.
WCAX partnered with the Vermont Federal Credit Union to collect new and gently used jackets for those in need.
This year, the credit union says they’ve collected more than 1,000 coats. And 15 to 20 bags of donations are still waiting to be picked up at their Kennedy Drive location.
The coats have been distributed by the Vermont Department for Children and Families and Lund throughout the drive, and they will continue to be handed out until they’ve all gone.
