GEORGIA Vt. (WCAX) – Multiple people were sent to the hospital Tuesday evening after a crash involving five vehicles, including a firetruck.
Vermont State Police say it started with a two-car crash on i-89 in Georgia just before 5:00 p.m.
The St. Albans fire department responded to the scene, but then, police say another crash happened when a car collided with the firetruck.
Those injured in both crashes were taken to Northwestern Medical Center in St Albans for treatment.
Both lanes of the interstate going southbound had to be shut down for an hour and a half while the scene was being cleared.
