CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – Your next driver’s license in the Granite State will look a little different.
It’s not just the appearance changing – added security measures are included.
If you’re a New Hampshire license holder, your card probably has a design that’s been in use since 2017.
As of this week, all new driver’s licenses and non-driver IDs will have a new look.
The new design features Granite State icons like the state flower (the purple lilac), and the Old Man of the Mountain. The updated cards also have added counterfeit-resistant material among other security measures.
They are also Real-ID compliant. Starting in May this year, a Real-ID is federally required to get through TSA security or enter secure federal facilities.
Again, those new licenses will be headed out starting this week.
More information about the new ID can be found here.
