Fancy felines of all kinds stun at annual cat show

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A purr-fect weekend activity for cat lovers.

The annual Cat Fanciers’ Association Allbreed Cat Show returned to the Doubletree Saturday morning, and feline enthusiasts flocked to see kitties of all kinds.

Up to 225 cats of 45 breeds from around the world stunned at the hotel.

The event included multiple competitions, from costume contests to breed face-offs.

Attendees say they came to take a look at the variety of breeds in one room.

“It’s cool to see all the cats presented, I’ve never seen so many cats in my life, and the diversity here is very crazy,” Grace Fleming of Burlington said.

“It’s exciting and there are so many beautiful cats here, you’re seeing probably the best of all the breeds here,” Lisa Daunais of Cape Cod said.

People could also pick up cat accessories and treats from vendors.

The furry festivities continue Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
