BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – History is repeating itself after eight years.
Vermonters will gather in solidarity this weekend ahead of Monday’s inauguration.
The Burlington stand-in happened in solidarity with the national Women’s March back in 2017.
Saturday at 10 a.m., people will gather at the top of Church Street to do the same thing.
Organizers say they are rallying to protect constitutional freedoms like women’s healthcare, LGBTQ rights, and immigrant rights for all people living and working in Chittenden County.
They say the stakes are even higher for women now than they were at the last rally on the eve of Trump’s inauguration in 2017.
