MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – On Tuesday, Vermonters are gathering at the statehouse to advocate for an affordable place to live.
A new coalition called Let’s Build Homes is a pro-housing group trying to increase Vermont’s housing stock.
They say Vermont’s history of state and local land use policies has made building homes expensive and slow.
According to Let’s Build Homes, that has made it impossible to live, work, or raise a family in Vermont.
At noon, they’ll be calling for the state and municipalities to support the building of 30,000 new homes.
