BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A call for poets across Vermont.
Pro-poets in Weybridge is now accepting submissions for its haiku contest.
This is the 7th year the town has carried out the contest, which is open to all Vermonters with youth, high school, and adult divisions.
The prompt is to address the challenging world around you – but the rest is up to you. Last year, they had more than 443 haikus submitted.
Haikus can be submitted to George Bellerose, contest administrator, by emailing georgebellerose@gmavt.net
You can also send your haiku in the mail to 80 Meetinghouse Lane, Weybridge, VT 05753.
Each person can submit up to ten before the February 24th deadline.
