Vt. man pleads not guilty to repeated sexual assaults

CHELSEA, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont man accused of repeated sexual assaults is being held without bail.

Police say Jonathan Rau, 40, of White River Junction, sexually assaulted victims who were known to him multiple times. He’s also accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to victims and filming some of the alleged assaults.

Rau is a part-time student and former staff member at Vermont State University’s Randolph campus. Court records indicate he is a registered sex offender and runs a photography business.

Rau pleaded not guilty to more than half a dozen charges earlier this week and remains behind bars.
