Snow geese make Alburgh pitstop

ALBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Hundreds of snow geese were seen this weekend in Alburgh.

State waterfowl biologists say the birds are stopping here to fill up on resources and food, and fatten up on their way south.

They say the end of November is a little late for them to be traveling, but the warmer temperatures have them moving a little later and they can stop for a longer periods of time because the water is not frozen.

The geese will stop in our area again next spring on their way back north.
