GROTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man accused of a stabbing in Calendonia County is on the run, according to police.
Vermont State Police say Brandon Lackie, 36, of Groton, stabbed an acquaintance, John Faucette, 39, multiple times in the back on Monday evening at a home on Tinkham Road in Groton. They say he then stole his truck.
Faucette was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and is reported in stable condition.
Troopers found the stolen truck abandoned in Ryegate and are now looking for Lackie, who they describe as about 5-10, with brown, balding hair and a full beard. Police say if you see him, do not approach him and just call 911.
There were no immediate details on what sparked the violence.
