Burlington School Board member resigns after arrest on drug charges

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Burlington School Board member has resigned after being arrested on allegations of trafficking fentanyl.

The story was first reported by Vermont News First.

Rida Kori pleaded not guilty last month to the drug charge according to court records.

Vermont News First reports the 24-year-old was arrested by Massachusetts State Police on Sept. 16 on Interstate 91 in Holyoke.

Kori was elected to the Ward 1 Burlington School Board Seat on Town Meeting Day.
