MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – There’s a new way for Vermont voters to engage in politics as we approach the general election.
This is the third election the state will mail all registered voters a ballot. The Secretary of State’s office also has a website with information about both statewide and local candidates.
Officials say their goal is to give voters time to research their candidates.
“I hope the voter guide encourages people to use these next several weeks to reach out to the candidate,” Sarah Copeland-Hanzas, Vt. Secretary of State said. “Send them and email, following them on their social media, see if they are holding public events you can come to, to hear them talk about the issues that matter to you.”
The general election is on November 5th.
