RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – Rutland will host a sweet celebration this weekend as the Whoopie Pie Fest returns.
The festival is in its third year of bringing tasty treats, music, performances and other vendors to Rutland’s downtown.
We showed you last week how Dream Makers Bakers in Killington is attempting to break a whoopie pie world record.
Organizers say the festival is a great opportunity for the community to get outside and engage with one another.
“It brings together a lot of our community partners. It brings together a lot of nonprofit agencies. It brings just excitement to downtown Rutland, to where families can come and enjoy a wonderful day. And then at the end, hopefully, see this world record video,” said Chrispin White of Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region.
