BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Senator Peter Welch is promising to double down on his push to keep low-income Vermonters connected.
Welch was a strong advocate for the Affordable Connectivity Program – or ACP – a program that has helped 23 million Americans save up to $30 a month on internet.
The FCC warned Congress that funding from the rebate was drying up and was slated to end by June if Congress didn’t pass an extension.
An extension did not make it across the finish line in time but Senator Welch says he is not giving up.
