BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – First responders in northern New Hampshire are getting updated digs thanks to state funding.
The fire and EMS training facility in Bethlehem will get $5.2 million to improve their facilities and go towards personnel and training.
That includes a new heated garage for equipment and training simulators and a decontamination area with showers where all contaminated equipment will be cleaned and stored.
That area will also focus on cancer awareness and prevention for firefighters exposed to carcinogens.
Officials say it will bolster first responder safety in the region.
