BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Burlington man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
Authorities say Deyquan Martin, 22, was sentenced Monday in federal court after pleading guilty.
According to court documents, in 2022, Martin met a 12-year-old minor through an online video game. Posing as a 13-year-old, authorities say Martin induced the child to send photographs and videos of herself. They say he also used threats to have them send more material. In another instance that year, Martin met a 13-year-old minor through a different online video game and induced the minor to send photographs.
Authorities arrested Martin after a search of his home in September of 2022.
In addition to prison, Martin was sentenced to 10 years of supervised release.
