CLAREMONT, N.H. (WCAX) – Police arrested a man this morning after shooting a teenager in Claremont, New Hampshire.
At around 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning, 24-year-old Jared Strickland was arrested by Claremont Police after he allegedly shot an unnamed teenager.
They say the teenager saw Strickland breaking into a car, which prompted an altercation between the two. Strickland is accused of shooting the teenager in the shoulder with a stolen firearm during the altercation. Officers retrieved the gun and a duffle bag full of other stolen items during their investigation.
The teenager was treated for his injuries and is in stable condition, and Strickland is being charged with multiple crimes, including 1st degree assault.
