SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Burlington man faces charges after police say he threatened towing company workers with a gun.
South Burlington Police say Alioune Kounta, 21, was trying to recover his car on Sunday from the Commerce Drive business when he threatened to “pop someone” if it was not returned. Officers later recovered a loaded Sig Saur 9mm pistol.
Police say Kounta was released on pre-trial conditions Monday including a 24-hour curfew, no contact with the victims, no possession of deadly weapons, and no “violent, threatening, or tumultuous behavior.”
