BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – After 75 years in Burlington, the Vermont Department of Health’s central office is moving to Waterbury.
The move will take place in stages over the next two months. No changes in services are expected during this time.
The state is selling the building at 108 Cherry Street in Burlington and the health department will move most offices and operations to the Waterbury State Office Complex.
While the central office is moving, the Burlington Local Health Office, which provides WIC and other public health services in Chittenden County, will remain open on Cherry Street until March 8. It will then move to 128 Lakeside Avenue in the city’s South End.
