NEW HAMPSHIRE (WCAX) – Crews worked to help restore power to thousands without power after the storm in New Hampshire Saturday.
The director of the New Hampshire Department of Safety’s Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management says drivers should use extra caution, go slow and be alert for crews clearing debris.
If you lose power, he recommends to use flashlights, rather than candles, for emergency lighting.
Do not use a gas range or oven as an alternate source of heat.
He adds to never run a generator inside a building or in an enclosed space and keep them 20 feet away from buildings with the exhaust pointed away.
